I am guessing this is a result of an Atlantic phenotype similar to the Welsh Catherine Zeta Jones. She also states to be partially German so maybe the dark pigmentation can also be similar to somebody like Sandra Bullock whose mom was an opera singer born in Germany. Either way, Cindy was probably seen as exotic in her hometown of Dekalb for her dark hair and eyes, but her darkness is still a westernized phenotype and the phenotype is still largely Northwestern European. Neither Catherine Zeta nor Cindy nor Sandra Bullock can pass in the Mediterranean or Eastern Europe. At most, maybe in Iberia, but not even.
