When people call me and say they are hacked by the government
I tell them I hear that a lot. Then they say "no, this time it's real." I tell them I hear that every single time, as well. Then they ask me to send me their
material. It ends up being a bunch of A.I.-generated drivel that doesn't prove anything. I ask to speak with them and I tell them there is no evidence of
hacking. They get angry and argue with me, then hang up on me. Same pattern every time.

Some may be schizophrenic. Schizophrenics get extremely angry when you tell them the stuff they believe is not true. It fascinates me people can get to a point
of believing such nonsense.

I've heard it all-- "I'm monitored by my ex through my phone." "I hear my ex's voice when sitting in a quiet room." "I hear voices that are being transmitted
through the television." "Can you make the voices stop?" I tell them they need mental health treatment, and they get angry-- it's the same every time.

They come to you with textbook examples of unhinged patent applications, to boot. Just completely divorced from reality, and not just because the claim is
perpetual motion or fuel from air. The disclosures are rambling screeds that belong in the files of a treating psychiatrist, not the files of the USPTO.
Horrible to deal with.
I've seen a firm just send a hapless associate to hear out these lunatics, billing all the while, which is a disgusting practice btw.
