Dutch Brothers and market trends
We have two Dutch Brothers locations that opened less than a year ago not too far from me. One in Melrose Park and one past Wheeling. I think once Dutch
Brothers start to occupy the midwest more and spread out east too, Starbucks will start to lose more customers. Scooters and 7Brew aren't that great, but Dutch
Brothers is amazing. They have so many drinks and crazy combinations. However, DB is just drive thru, so people will still meet at Starbucks and because DB has
not expanded entirely, people will still go on a Starbucks run or grab a Starbucks when its close. Starbucks also has more food items. DB has very limited food
items.
Dirty sodas are becoming so popular too. DB has all these crafted beverage/dirty soda style drinks that you can make either with soda, lemonade, or energy
drinks.
Dunkin is definitely taking a hit, but people will still go there in the morning for a hot coffee and again they have food.

Also, here are the tiers for me:
1) Dutch Brothers is the absolute best when possible
2) Starbucks for meetings, when DB is not near by, and just normie regular use or grabbing one in Target
3) Dunkin when nothing else is available (i.e. its late at night and everything else is closed or on a road trip). Also, early morning if you want something to
eat and are out and either grab a bagel or donut. Also, every Dunkin location is different. Some are good. Others absolutely suck.

The golden eagle at dutch bros is the best coffee drink there imho and then the rebel energy and soda drinks are pretty good too. They have all these different
toppings and flavors you can add.

Sorry sugar, Dutch brothers is gross. 600 calorie coffees, full of sugar. Ever heard of swig? Its a soda store from Utah. Will be popular like Dutch bros but
also gross.

@whiteguyinchinaTest We have only one Swig in illinois now but it’s in
the sw burbs of Chicago in Crest Hill. More are to come. I will have to check it out one day. Dirty soda is becoming huge!!! Even McDonalds is cashing in on the
trend.
@marlonTest That’s the best idea ever a strip club/coffee shop/donut shop. The
cops can hang out there after their shifts at like 3 am.
