One day in 2019, he just pulled the plug. Why? I was off the site by then, but
it would be nice to know the actual reasons for Admin suddenly taking years of
work and content offline. I visited the domain today and all it says is "this
is my new website." I don't know anything about Admin except that he randomly
banned and un-banned people, including myself, seemingly for no reason.
I figured that restarting JDU under my own domain would be fair game,
considering that this is an outlet that is beneficial for semi-anonymous
discussion about issues relevant to attorneys, and other persons interested in
law. Really curious what caused Admin to make that decision. I'm guessing it
was a combination of the "N-word President" thread and similar toxic behavior by
users, which took its toll on him.

I wasn't an insider or party to much of the real insanity, but I think I played
a part in it. I posted his first name near the end, and that didn't go over
well. It was info that was available through a simple Google search, but it
still caused some havoc.

That sounds familiar, lol. I must be crazy for taking the torch at this point,
but I do enjoy it as a diversion from the day-to-day of the law firm. It's
entertaining and a chance for me to write custom BBS software incrementally and
on my own terms. Worth it.

I personally think the N word is worse than all those other terms due to the
history of slavery in the U.S. as well as the challenges Black people have faced
in treatment by law enforcement and by the legal system.

The main challenge seems to be that they can't follow the Law imo, Scumbags also
tend to have similar problems much more often than Nerds and Losers. Of course
the Justice system is biased in favor of Jocks and Preps, but Scumbags tend to
create a lot of their own problems. I wouldn't worry too much about the magic
word now as many black people have won the gen and are in fact overrepresented
in Console ownership when compared to other races.
