moisture2 from private IP /all why is arguing with strangers on the internet viewed as such negative hobby??? Some people like to go for walks, some people like to crochet, some like snowboarding, some like quilting, I like arguing with strangers on the internet. SO WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?????????? _reply Sat, 10 Feb 2024 08:14:52 -0800
zerosugar from private IP /all Because you are displaying sociopathic tendencies trying to push another person to insanity. There are humans behind the computer screen and you don’t know what other people are going through. The person you are trying to attack and spread your misery to could have a child or parent dying from cancer. Also, it’s very odd to obsess over and one up a stranger who has no effect on your life whatsoever. _reply Sat, 10 Feb 2024 08:16:25 -0800
zerosugar from private IP /all also you can dish it out, but you can’t take it. same goes for two other posters whose names i won’t mention. i won’t mention all your business because it’s NONE of my business. _reply Sat, 10 Feb 2024 08:18:36 -0800
zerosugar from private IP /all Finally, years ago, people who talked nonstop about exes were told to move on. You and two other posters are obsessing over perfect strangers who did nothing to you and don’t owe you a thing. _reply Sat, 10 Feb 2024 08:24:42 -0800
zerosugar from private IP /all People who argue online also want to spend hours of their day trying to change the opinion of another person who is likely stuck in their ways. That’s so silly and such a waste of time. _reply Sat, 10 Feb 2024 09:25:52 -0800
Andy from private IP /all @moisture2Test I enjoy lively online debates, just not the toxic cesspool environment that many online boards turn into. There is a special interest group for every possible fantasy, ranging from sewing circles to incels who want to go on shooting rampages. The more fringe the community, the more volatile. Crazy how the internet lets people across the world connect based on their shared interests. After all, here we are...lol. @zerosugarTest I find it can be entertaining and fun, that's the reason I personally do it. Not trying to change anyone's views except in a bona fide debate. _reply Sat, 10 Feb 2024 09:29:21 -0800
zerosugar from private IP /all I used to debate people online especially in comments sections on news articles until I realized that I was just wasting time. Sometimes a debate can be useful when the other person is an open mind, but these days very few people are open to other perspectives. _reply Sun, 11 Feb 2024 08:57:04 -0800
shithead from private IP /all Your method of 'arguing' with people online shows you to be an insecure social leper and complete dork. It's not witty, it's not trenchant, it's just dorky. Like, MEEP! _reply Sun, 11 Feb 2024 09:09:18 -0800
moisture2 from private IP /all Yeah ok, your opinion is very important to me. _reply Sun, 11 Feb 2024 09:10:27 -0800
Andy from private IP /all Good thing we have tags so people can indicate who they are arguing with. The user blocking feature is coming today-- try to avoid drama before then if possible, or take it to the THUNDERDOME, haha. _reply Sun, 11 Feb 2024 09:34:41 -0800
shithead from private IP /all We know.
