Andy from private IP /all I read the article. Like many expatriates, it seems like they are seeking affirmation that they made the right choice. I don't think anyone would agree that living in a random abandoned house in that part of Japan is an improvement over almost any major urban area of the U.S., unless you're from Detroit, I guess.
