Andy from private IP, post #16157425 /all I'll bet you Jay Clayton is the next Attorney General Jay Clayton was chairman of the SEC during the first Trump presidential term, he's a safer choice than other options, and he would also probably be a good Attorney General. What do you think? #News #Politics Tue, 12 Nov 2024 07:06:10 -0800
Andy from private IP Reply #13912585 P.S. This is complicated by the fact that Clayton sued Elon Musk while at the SEC, which is the one thing that might sink this, in my opinion. Tue, 12 Nov 2024 08:12:17 -0800
zerosugar from private IP Reply #17330051 I’m not liking some of his cabinet choices so far. Namely, Rubio as secretary of state and Kristi Noem (dog killer) as head of DHS. Rubio hilariously wasn’t even on Trump’s side on January 6th. He would have been better off selecting somebody like Ted Cruz who actually voted in his favor. This is a list of the senators on Trump’s side. Obviously, Noem is a governor of a small state and she seems dumb and somebody who faked a meeting with Kim Jong Un should not be head of DHS. https://www.npr.org/sections/insurrection-at-the-capitol/2021/01/07/954380156/here-are-the-republicans-who-objected-to-the-electoral-college-count Tue, 12 Nov 2024 08:55:42 -0800
zerosugar from private IP Reply #19368226 Tulsi Gabbard as secretary of state would have been a good choice too. Better than Rubio. Tue, 12 Nov 2024 10:53:48 -0800
whiteguyinchina from private IP Reply #19435733 You have to understand, Trump does not get to pick whoever he wants. Some people will say no to him. As they do not want to be associated with his administration for future political career prospects. He has to take whoever accepts the job. Tue, 12 Nov 2024 10:54:37 -0800
whiteguyinchina from private IP Reply #10888360 Could be the people you guys mentioned were offered the job and declined. Tue, 12 Nov 2024 12:17:39 -0800

whiteguyinchina from private IP Reply #17223164 So in a previous life I was actually at dinner with someone who got the phone call to be part of trumps first administration but they declined because Trump administration is such a heavy burden to carry going forward if you want to do politics later. That's why I think he doesn't get many run of the mill people who you'd think would be perfect for the job. It's a high risk low reward posting so that's why you get many random people like peter Navarro who was a professor at a ttt school and wrote books like the coming war with chayna!! As his only credentials. Democrats seen to recruit from run of the mill civil service and big donor types. Tue, 12 Nov 2024 17:51:16 -0800
