It seems like the ACA made it even worse. They should have given Americans the option to buy into medicare or medicaid for a certain price rather than creating all these crappy marketplace plans narrowly tailored by insurance companies that are very useless for anything other than a common cold. Insurance industry execs are likely the most evil people in the world, although I guess a job is just a job and people have to bring home money somehow.
