Audacious NASA mission uncovers building blocks of life on asteroid Bennu, possibly proving the Panspermia theory (3) Andy from private IP, post #13360771 - Thu, 30 Jan 2025 02:33:02 -0800
./posts/all/1738233182-141.txt:Reply #15687463 This discovery can be interpreted in several ways, but even the most conservative interpretation is that the precursors of life are found everywhere in the universe. If you assume that amino acids and nucleotides form naturally in protoplanetary disks, that means every star system could have some form of life descended from its own naturally forming compounds. That still doesn't answer the question of how DNA actually formed or where our lives really originated. I did a little more research and found that "pseudo-panspermia" is the correct term for the discovery: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudo-panspermia
