The AUSA was excellent, but Mahsa's attorney was cringe-worthy, as you said. Shows what the public defender panel has available...what a joke. But at the same time, what arguments does Mahsa really have? She was convicted by a jury and the fight now is over her mental competence and sentence, not the underlying crimes. It continues to amaze me that they keep letting her file stupid stuff. That reminds me, my 9th Circuit appeal of the dismissal of my civil case is *still* pending after a year and a half. Ridiculous! They keep cutting her breaks and not deciding the case, apparently because they don't want to. This isn't justice. Case no. 23-35601 in the 9th Circuit.
