I found something I actually need, which is a 8K HDR broadcast monitor (takes a 8K input signal in HDR and downsamples it to 4K while preserving everything else). I saw a ton of cinema gear, including at the RED booth where they had actors in a mock bar playing darts and shooting pool so that folks could see the different cinematic broadcast looks on different camera configurations. I checked in with my vendors and spent a few hours on the show floor. I'm done after two days, no joke. It is just too much for an end user who is not in the industry. Maybe I'll offer a presentation next year on the Trial Laboratory and its use for broadcasting private trials.
