Maybe the deportation of the German tourists was extreme though. One of my friends from Italy once came to visit me here in Chicago and they gave him a bit of a problem for not having a hotel reservation. They brought him in back and questioned him a bit about what he planned to do in the USA and if he had a return ticket. Etsa is not a sure entry into USA, that’s for sure. You always have to have a return ticket. My suggestion to Europeans wanting to enter is to book a return ticket with miles 24 hours before the trip and if you aren’t sure when you will return home, cancel the ticket. Most airlines have free 24 hour cancellation and your miles will get redeposited.
