You can have totally different vibes from town to town. There are even towns throughout italy that speak Occitan (dialect from Southern France) dialect. I feel in my mom’s dialect while not Occitan, we have some words that are definitely inspired by French due to the history of colonialism. For example, in Italian an apple is called a “mela.” In French, it’s called “pomme.” In my mom’s birth village, we call it “puma.”
